Role:

  • Joined SWEB on an initial 3 months contract during the final stages of implementation of a Developer 2000 Client/Server application with an Oracle 7 database on IBM AIX.
  • Main projects were Oracle support and management, 1998 Electricity de-regulation, Oracle Y2K testing/support.
  • Final extension came in January 2000, which saw me managing the DBA team of three staff and two graduate trainees.
